Do I need SlimeVR-Server?
Section titled “Do I need SlimeVR-Server?”Yes. everything-imu is the bridge layer - it feeds trackers into SlimeVR-Server, which does the skeletal model and the SteamVR driver. Run both together.
Do I need a PC?
Section titled “Do I need a PC?”The desktop bridge runs on a PC (Windows or Linux). The phone app can forward trackers to that PC over your LAN. Standalone (no-PC) setups depend on your headset and SlimeVR configuration.
Which controllers work?

Why does yaw drift on some controllers?
Section titled “Why does yaw drift on some controllers?”Controllers without a magnetometer have no absolute heading, so yaw slowly drifts. Re-yaw facing forward, or use Reset Mounting. Devices with a magnetometer drift far less. See troubleshooting.
Is it really free and open source?
Section titled “Is it really free and open source?”Yes - MIT licensed, no account, no telemetry, and the builds are signed. The source for both the desktop bridge and the mobile app is on GitHub.
Does it run on macOS?
Section titled “Does it run on macOS?”No. everything-imu targets Windows and Linux.
Can I use my phone as a tracker?
Section titled “Can I use my phone as a tracker?”Yes, with the mobile app. It streams the phone’s own IMU and can forward phone-paired BLE controllers as extra trackers.
