Five steps to a live tracker
Section titled “Five steps to a live tracker”- Install SlimeVR-Server and leave it running. Its default UDP port is
6969. - Run everything-imu. The status bar reads
Liveonce the handshake with the server completes. - Plug or pair a supported controller. It appears on the Devices tab, and a tracker for it shows up automatically in SlimeVR-Server.
- Mount the controller on your body (waist, knee, ankle, …) and assign it in SlimeVR-Server’s Body Proportions flow.
- Reset orientation facing forward:
R(yaw) orShift+R(full), or use the Reset Yaw / Reset Full / Reset Mounting buttons on the device card.
On controllers without a magnetometer (Joy-Con 1, DualSense, DualShock 4, Wii Remote, 3DS, PS Vita, DualShock 3), yaw drifts as you turn. Re-yaw facing forward, or use Reset Mounting right after strapping the tracker on. Some devices also accept on-device reset gestures - see the device pages.

Mounting reset is per device - use Reset Mounting on the device card or the tracker detail page.
Fusion algorithms
Section titled “Fusion algorithms”Fusion is switchable per device: VQF (default), Madgwick, or BasicVQF. VQF handles rest-bias estimation automatically and is the right default for almost everything.
