Quickstart

  1. Install SlimeVR-Server and leave it running. Its default UDP port is 6969.
  2. Run everything-imu. The status bar reads Live once the handshake with the server completes.
  3. Plug or pair a supported controller. It appears on the Devices tab, and a tracker for it shows up automatically in SlimeVR-Server.
  4. Mount the controller on your body (waist, knee, ankle, …) and assign it in SlimeVR-Server’s Body Proportions flow.
  5. Reset orientation facing forward: R (yaw) or Shift+R (full), or use the Reset Yaw / Reset Full / Reset Mounting buttons on the device card.

On controllers without a magnetometer (Joy-Con 1, DualSense, DualShock 4, Wii Remote, 3DS, PS Vita, DualShock 3), yaw drifts as you turn. Re-yaw facing forward, or use Reset Mounting right after strapping the tracker on. Some devices also accept on-device reset gestures - see the device pages.

Shortcut Action
Ctrl+K Command palette
Ctrl+F Global search
Ctrl+Enter Cinema mode (immersive overlay)
Ctrl+Shift+B Kill-switch the bridge (pause emission)
R / Shift+R Broadcast yaw / full reset

Mounting reset is per device - use Reset Mounting on the device card or the tracker detail page.

Fusion is switchable per device: VQF (default), Madgwick, or BasicVQF. VQF handles rest-bias estimation automatically and is the right default for almost everything.
